The plug and socket devices of the Series SolConeX 8579 are 63 A versions. An important safety criterion is their reliable load disconnect switch with a highly visible position indication. Plugging in and unplugging is done easily and safely in 0-position. The plug and socket devices comply with IEC/EN 60309-1/-2 (CEE), IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN 60079-1 and IEC/EN 60079-7. The ability to plug the Ex plugs into non-Ex sockets is guaranteed. In contrast, operation of the Ex sockets using non-Ex plugs is reliably prevented.

The R. STAHL 8571/12 series SolConeX plugs for Zone 1/21 are 4- or 5-pole versions up to 32 A. They can be plugged and unplugged easily and simply thanks to floating pins. The pivoting strain relief makes it easier to install the cable. Self-cleaning and corrosion-free plug pins made from high-quality materials ensure optimum electrical contact.

The R. STAHL 8571/11 series SolConeX sockets for Zone 1/21 in 4- and 5-pole versions have full AC-3 switching capacity up to 32 A. The high degree of protection IP66 ensures maximum protection against the ingress of dust and/or water in any application situation. Self-cleaning lamellar contacts provide optimum contact and the plugs can be inserted and removed in the zero position quickly and easily. The load disconnect switch, with mechanical locking device and a handle that can be locked in the 0 or I position, is an additional safety feature.

With an IP66 weatherproof rating, the unit is ideal for indoor and outdoor installations in Zone 1 & Zone 2 (Gas) and Zone 21 & Zone 22 (Dust) hazardous areas.
