The Flameproof Hooter with Beacon – Model 187 is a high-performance audio-visual warning device designed for use in hazardous and explosive environments. It combines a high-decibel electronic hooter with a red LED beacon to provide clear and immediate warning during emergency, fault, or alarm conditions.

The unit is housed in a robust flameproof Ex-d enclosure manufactured from die-cast aluminium alloy, ensuring maximum safety and durability in harsh industrial conditions. With IP66 weatherproof protection, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

Certified by CIMFR, BIS, and PESO, this FLP hooter with beacon complies with IS/IEC 60079-1 standards and is approved for use in Gas Groups IIA & IIB and Dust hazardous zones. The loud sound output of 100–120 dB at 1 meter ensures alarms are clearly audible even in noisy industrial areas.

Flameproof Hooter with Flasher is a second-generation field-mounting device designed to produce a very loud audible warning signal of 110 dB, along with a flashing indication, in hazardous areas.

Operating voltage options include 230 VAC, 24 VDC, and 110 VAC.

An optional audio acceptor/sound cancellation facility can be provided.

Necessary flameproof certification allows installation in Zone 1 or 2 gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC.

Weather protection is rated at IP 65.
